Since we were surprised with Noah's arrival a month early, Wes was working on the chair rail/crown molding in Noah’s nursery the night we went to the hospital. The crib and dresser were still in boxes when we brought Noah home. With the house a mess and Noah’s room not at all put together, it was not exactly the welcoming environment I had planned for our baby. Thus, this time around, I was determined to have everything ready for our baby girl!
I had a lot of fun (and help) planning her nursery. Using her sweet birdie bedding as our inspiration, my friend Annie painted the mini birdhouses and canvas artwork, Grandma Jan and Auntie Renee painted the pink and cream walls, my designer friend Krista helped with the furniture layout, rug and decal selection and Wes put it all together! My mom knitted her the adorable pink knit "dank" hanging over the crib rail. Noah calls it "sissy's dank."
Her tiny clothes and soft blankets are laundered, Noah's infant car seat is cleaned and we washed/put out all the baby toys again. My friend Ang even helped me pick which outfit to bring our little darling home in! Aside from framing a few of the awesome maternity pics Kalei took for us, packing our hospital bag and cleaning up the house, I'd say we are ready for baby! We even have Noah mostly potty trained (but that is a whole post in itself)!
